Standard Chartered has new Europe head of transaction banking

Standard Chartered Bank will see Richard Jaggard as its new head of transaction banking in Europe. The London-based role will see Jaggard responsible for the bank’s cash management, trade finance and securities services in the region.

Jaggard has over 25 years of experience gained in treasury and finance roles within multinational corporates as well as in transaction banking sales. He has been responsible for managing a global treasury for a FTSE100 UK company, setting up and operating a regional treasury centre for a blue chip US multinational in Europe, and establishing a cash management consultancy as well as a treasury outsourcing business in Europe for a major US bank.

Jiten Arora, global head of sales commented: “Richard’s background and experience will play a key role in our continued focus on providing value-add solutions which deliver efficient working capital management for our clients as they expand in developing markets.”

Before joining Standard Chartered, Jaggard worked for HSBC as head of sales for Global Payments and Cash Management, Asia Pacific for seven years and was located in Hong Kong.
